I was born in 1948, so I was there for the Anti-Vietnam protests, for Kent State and other demontrations against that war. That age put it's mark on me.

 I was just a kid when the incident at Kent State occured. One of my brother's friends was shot. He was lucky. He was one of the survivers. His friend wasn't so lucky.
I was in high school -- and I remember thinking "This can't be happening. American soldiers CAN'T be shoothing American students!"

It's not the ones in uniform that bother me -- at least not the lower ranks -- it's the ones that tell them where to point their guns.

What scares me more than anything is the fact that that Bush wants to bring back the draft and I don't wanna lose my son or daughter to some poor soul who doesn't even know why he hates them.
